The SKY SAT MG-3900 LPC is a high-performance H-H (Horizon-to-Horizon) satellite dish motor designed for automatic positioning of offset satellite antennas. It supports DiSEqC 1.2 and DiSEqC 1.3 (USALS / Goto X), allowing compatible satellite receivers to position the antenna automatically towards different satellites.
Featuring a durable aluminium housing, metal gears and a zero-backlash design, the MG-3900 LPC provides reliable positioning and precise satellite tracking. Its motorised mechanism is controlled through the existing coaxial cable, without requiring a separate control cable.

DiSEqC 1.2 and USALS Compatibility
The SKY SAT MG-3900 LPC supports two widely used satellite positioning protocols:
- DiSEqC 1.2: Allows the user to move the dish and store satellite positions manually using a compatible receiver.
- USALS / DiSEqC 1.3 (Goto X): Automatically calculates the required motor position based on the geographical coordinates of the installation location and the orbital position of the selected satellite.
USALS simplifies satellite installation and makes it easier to switch between satellites without manually storing every position. The receiver must support the relevant protocol.
Durable Construction and Precise Positioning
The motor features a robust aluminium housing and metal gears designed for long-term outdoor use. Its zero-backlash construction helps minimise mechanical play, while the high-resolution Hall-effect sensor provides accurate position feedback during antenna movement.
The combination of mechanical stops, programmable software limits and current protection helps protect the positioning mechanism during operation.
Automatic Satellite Tracking
The motor moves the satellite dish along the satellite arc, allowing a compatible receiver to select different orbital positions automatically. The positioning range extends from 80° East to 80° West, subject to the installation location and the available satellite arc.
The Go to 0° function allows the motor to return to its reference position. Manual East/West buttons are also provided for adjustment and installation.
Installation and Compatibility
The SKY SAT MG-3900 LPC is intended for use with compatible offset satellite dishes and satellite receivers supporting DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS. Control signals and operating power are supplied through the coaxial cable connected to the receiver.
For correct operation, the motor must be installed on a suitable vertical mounting pole and aligned accurately with the local satellite arc. The actual dish size that can be used depends on wind exposure, antenna weight, mounting strength and installation conditions.
Suitable For
- Motorised satellite antenna installations
- Reception of multiple satellites using one dish
- Receivers supporting DiSEqC 1.2
- Receivers supporting USALS / Goto X
- Offset satellite dishes up to approximately 120–140 cm, subject to conditions
- Home and professional satellite TV installations
Package Contents
- 1 × SKY SAT MG-3900 LPC H-H satellite motor
- Mounting accessories, if supplied with the specific package
- User documentation, if included by the manufacturer
Important Information
A compatible satellite receiver with DiSEqC 1.2 or USALS support is required to control the motor. The mounting pole, satellite dish, LNB and coaxial cable are not included unless explicitly stated in the product offer.
The maximum recommended antenna size depends on wind conditions and the mechanical characteristics of the installation. Correct alignment is essential for reliable reception across the satellite arc.
